Frequently Asked Questions

Class costs vary depending on how you would like to book. A one-off drop-in session costs £12.50, but you can save money with our class packs and monthly memberships. For example, on our silver membership, classes can be as little as £7.62 per session.

Currently we offer pole dance and fitness classes for all levels, from complete beginners up to advanced. We also run mixed ability aerial hoop classes and flexibility classes, both suitable for all levels. For our full timetable, .

At Inspire Studios we offer a range of classes at a variety of times to suit all levels. Once you have decided whether you would like to join a pole, aerial hoop or flexibility class, take a look at our timetable to find the time and day that works best for you. No prior fitness, dance, or exercise experience is necessary. Any Beginner or Mixed Ability (all levels) class is perfect for your first time!

We’re based in the Woolmarket in Cirencester town centre, opposite (and above) the Hop Kettle and next to Funky Monkey Toy Shop. You can find a map to our studio location on the Get In Touch page. If you need directions right to our door, download the What3Words app and enter the code crumb.adopts.lifts – that’ll lead you right to us!

When you arrive: come through the blue door at street level, up the stairs, and through the door on your left at the top of the stairs.

Unfortunately not – you do need to prebook. Everyone needs to register via our booking system to ensure the class isn’t overbooked. We also have a few health and safety forms that need to be completed before your first class as part of the sign up process.

You can register on our booking system on the Prices & Booking page, or directly via our TeamUp membership site.

Pole: Skin grip is really helpful so we recommend shorts and a vest for pole class. But your comfort is important and if you’re not ready to wear shorts to begin with, then leggings or joggers you can pull up to the knee are perfect. As you progress through the levels and your confidence grows, skin grip will become more important and shorts will be needed. Please don’t moisturise before class, and remove any metal jewellery (such as rings, bracelets and watches) to protect both your valuables and our poles.

Aerial hoop: Aerial hoops are covered in fabric tape, which can feel abrasive on the skin. We recommend you cover your legs and back, particularly the backs of your knees. You may also wish to bring a removable top layer like a hoodie to cover your elbows in case we do any elbow grips. We recommend tight fitting clothing that you can move freely in to prevent your clothes from getting caught or wrapped on the hoop. Please don’t wear clothing with zips, and remove jewellery such as rings, as these can be damaged by the hoop or cause you injury.

Flexibility: Wear whatever you like, as long as it’s stretchy and you can move in it.

For all classes, we encourage freedom of expression. Dress however you are comfortable, whether that means dressing up, dressing down or somewhere in the middle. Wear whatever makes you feel confident, free and empowered to move. Our only requirements are that genitals are fully covered and contained, whatever your gender.

Absolutely not! Everybody is welcome through our doors regardless of their sex or gender identity – it’s of the utmost importance to us that our studio is a safe haven for everyone.

If you require an all-female environment for religious or cultural reasons, please get in touch at inspirestudios.cirencester@gmail.com to discuss your needs and how we can accommodate you.

As standard, all bookings with Inspire Studios come under our strict 24 hour cancellation policy. All bookings are strictly non-transferable.

You can manage your cancellations via the GoTeamUp app or by logging into your GoTeamUp user account on your browser. Unfortunately we cannot give you a catch up credit if you do not cancel your place 24 hours before class starts. Please don’t ask us to break this rule no matter what the reason is, we can’t be fair to everyone if we bend the rules on some occasions and not others.

If you cancel a class with more than 24 hours notice from the lesson start time, your credit is refunded into your membership / lesson pack allowance, or a refund into your bank account is automatically issued if you booked the session PAYG. Depending on your bank, please allow up to 5 working days for the refund to process and show in your statement.

No refunds of lesson credits or PAYG payments are available if you cancel with less than the standard 24 hours notice. Private lessons are also bound by a 24 hour cancellation period. Some one-off workshops, events and photoshoots will have individual cancellation policies, which are clearly stated at the time of booking on our booking system.

Recurring monthly memberships are subject to a minimum sign-up period and cannot be cancelled before the end of this minimum period. 28 days’ notice is required for cancellation.

Yes! We have two bathrooms at the studio – a smaller one at the entrance, and a larger one at the back of the hoop room. You are welcome to change in either one. Our studios open 10 minutes before class times.

Yes there is plenty of parking nearby. We’re based in the Woolmarket – the nearest car park to us is the Waterloo Car Park (GL7 2PY). Parking is free after 6pm Monday to Saturday, and all day on Sunday. If you are parking outside of these times, you can pay for your parking in cash, by card, or using the PayByPhone app (location code 804758).

Advice correct at the time of writing, please ensure you check all applicable parking signs to determine whether or not you need to pay before you leave your vehicle, as parking wardens in Cirencester are vigilant.

Of course! You don’t have to be any of those things to start classes. You will build strength, stamina and improved flexibility as you go along, week by week, at your own pace and under the guidance of your instructor. The beauty of aerial and pole training is the appreciation of us all being unique, therefore our training and progress will never be the same and we can train in a supportive environment where we can explore our individual strengths and weaknesses without judgement.

There is no ideal body size, age, shape or flexibility to begin training with us. Strength, flexibility and self confidence are all things that will you will build at your own pace by attending regular classes. Everyone at Inspire is incredibly warm, welcoming and understanding as they’ve all been where you are now. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive studio, where we welcome everyone and anyone. We appreciate bodies for what they can do, not what they look like. You do NOT have to be a certain size to start pole fitness, aerial training or any of our other classes.

There is no upper age limit for our classes, and we have a number of students in their 50s and 60s. Our weekday evening classes are suitable for people aged 18+, and our weekend beginners’ classes are suitable for people aged 16+.

We offer dedicated aerial hoop classes for children aged 5-16, which are clearly marked as children’s classes on the timetable, and we can also accommodate children in private lessons for pole fitness or aerial hoop with selected kids-qualified instructors.

Unfortunately we currently can’t offer tuition for new pregnant clients. We wish you the absolute best in your pregnancy and can’t wait to meet you when you’re ready to join us after the birth. If you’re an existing student or someone who has trained pole or aerial regularly for a long time, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

If you’re recently postnatal, we advise a chat with your doctor or nurse for clearance to exercise before returning to, or starting pole or aerial classes. As a general guideline, we recommend you do not consider classes until a minimum of 6 weeks after a vaginal birth, and 12 weeks after a Caesarian section. But every body is different and the circumstances of each birth are different. Please don’t rush yourself back to exercise until you feel completely ready and your postnatal care professionals agree.

It’s our goal to make our classes as accessible and inclusive as we can to every person and every kind of body. We’ll do our absolute best to accommodate you and make you feel strong and fantastic, the only small caveat is that you must be able to climb a flight of stairs. Sadly our current studio site is not wheelchair accessible, which is a circumstance beyond our control.

If you’d like to discuss your needs before booking a class, please do contact us – we’re very friendly and discreet, and we want to make sure you feel as welcome and looked after as possible without feeling singled out.
